Titfortat 12: Man-E-Faces vs. Ninjor – One vs three!

Man-E-faces (1.8m, 80kg) comes with 31 points, he’s smart, strong, and relatively fast. Too bad that the former actor went to the wrong sorceress. All he wanted was stronger skills to play different characters, a wider spectrum from very emotional to stone cold. He wished to be powerful, a fast learner, and charismatic on stage. What he got is three personalities in a misformed head, which he’s hiding under a huge blue helmet. She made him a monster. Another hybrid creature made by evil magic. Only the heroic Masters were able to teach him how to control these faces, how to choose the right personality to each situation. And to not become evil.

Ninjor is 10cm shorter, 10kg lighter and 3 points faster than Man-E-Faces , making him one of the fastest fighters in our MOTU titfortat tournament. With 32 points, he’s in the same league as Triklops, Rio Blast and Snake face. Jitsu’s former student is the only real Ninja in Eternia, since his master lost his hand to Whiplash. And his honor.

The reason for this titfortat is unclear. Two strong characters with lots of potential are in the ring. It will be interesting to see which identity Man-E-Faces chooses for this fight. Let’s start!

It appears he comes as his own human version. You could think this is the most balanced person in our hero, but it is also the physically weakest. The robot and the monster have faster reflexes. And even before the fight starts, he changed to the robot man! Did he change his mind?

Ninjor doesn’t move or flinch at all. He’s observing, and watching Man-E-Faces changing again, this time to the green-faced monster. And as he changed, he’s already attacking! The hero makes the first strike, bluntly running towards Ninjor, making a high pinched noise! Ninjor routinely jumps to the side, aiming for a kick into Man-E-Faces’ ribs. This goes all so fast. The hero takes that kick, but in the same moment grabs the leg, and spins around. Ninjor flies, obviously surprised by the wild energy in that humanoid mixed creature. But he lands elegantly on his feet. The green face is turning to the right, showing a hint of the human face, and then moves back. Did he try to change again, and not succeed?! Ninjor does not hesitate to use that moment of distraction to land a swipe on the hero, getting him of his feet. A series of punches land on the blue helmet as the hero falls.
Man-E-Faces lands on his belly, obviously struggling with the combination he had to take. When he gets up, Ninjor is on his back, trying to figure out how to strangle his enemy with the huge helmet.
A sudden change in the way Man-E-Faces moves makes it clear, he’s the robot now. And that makes him extremely smart and strong. Instead of trying to get Ninjor off his back, and to get back up, he rolls onto his back, an onto Ninjor. In a very unnatural way his arms move back, and he starts hammering the back of his helmet against Ninjor’s head. The martial arts fighter is locked under his enemy, who does not stop to hammer down his head until blood and brain sprinkle the ring. A barbaric move by a humanoid robot with maybe a little evil magic acting ends this titfortat.. Ninjor lost.

Titfortat 11: Dragstor vs Mekaneck – Machine neck!

Dragstor, Hordaks spy vehicle, front line breaker, henchman for special tasks, 29 points in the table of skills, is super fast. When that poor guy got into Hordaks hands, he was turned into a machine, a living super power engine. It took him years to manage living with all the power he got, and he was never keen to make it through those years. Noise, heat, fumes, the pain, and Hordaks never ending tasks are torture. Only Hordaks evil magic keeps him under control, otherwise he would drive right into the deepest ocean and never come back.

No surprise that Mekaneck is his natural enemy. The look out, Eternias eyes on the ground caused too many problems already. And it’s personal as well. How on earth could a reasonable human decide to modify his body, to turn himself into a machine? The remaining human in Dragstor hates Mekaneck for knowingly using technology in his healthy body. How can the long necked spy with 28 points, and only 6 points for speed, handle a ring fight with a powerful enemy? He’s not a fighter, but he knows his weapons, and is one of the smarter guys around.

Dragstor is already blowing steam and fire, so let’s do this.

The member of the evil horde is in rage, vibrating, loud, dirty, spitting black oil. He’s running towards Mekaneck, not wasting a moment to judge the situation. Mekaneck is almost to late, but still manages to make that important step to the side to get out of Dragstors way. He turns around, and runs again. Mekaneck can only jump to the side. With a loud knock the humanoid falls onto his chest, turning himself into that feared one-wheeler. He starts to drive in big circles around in the ring, with the hero in the center of the black cloud of fumes and anger. Is he trying to impress his opponent, or is he blowing off steam, because he could get a grip on him?
Then the long neck comes into action. First you would think Mekaneck is reaching for air, or for a better view on the situation. But that’s not it. He looks down, and then falls. Like a giraffe, or a tree, the huge spy goes to the floor without any obvious reason. The neck falls right into Dragstors lane, and from one second to another, he takes off like a rocket, crushing into the invisible wall of that titfortat ring, where so many fights already took place. Turns out Mekaneck is well aware how much his neck can take. The smart guy turned his neck into a weapon. The raging motor monster is destroyed by his shear anger and speed.

Titfortat 10: Clamp Champ vs Trapjaw – Generational clash

Clamp Champ, a modern 2m hero, with 33 point as strong as the irresistible Jitsu, Fisto and Beast man vs. good old Trapjaw, who is 20cm shorter, only 27 points strong. Both are equally slow, 6 points for speed. It is the brains that the evil warrior struggles with.

Nonetheless is Trapjaw one of the most experienced and most feared henchman of Skeletor. We can only guess why these two meet in the ring today. It might as well be a demonstration. The rusty oldschool Trapjaw fights the glossy new shootingstar hero. A clash of generations.

So let good and evil fight! Trapjaw, the blue half-man half-robot is an appearance, blue and pink, with rattling, squeaking black armor. He’s very active in the beginning, walking up and down. Thinking strategy, or is he? Watching the Champ, who seems a bit nervous, he tries to hide it, he tries to look like he’s in charge, but you can feel he’s not. Trapjaw hunts him, intimidates him with his nervous, noisy behavior. Who makes the first move? Clamp Champ does. He does what you expect him to do. He tries to clamp Trapjaw’s weapon arm, the firm grip disabling the black gun. But the gun is not the most dangerous weapon on the old fighter. While Clamp Champ tries to pull Trapjaw down to the ground, one firm bite with his mechanical jaws destroys the whole heavy clamp! The grip opens just enough to free the arm. But whatever you expected next did not happen, Trapjaw lands a simple front kick in Clamp Champs stomach. He stumbles back, but manages not to fall. Without the Clamp, the hero needs another tactic. He decides to grab Trapjaws head, to be safe from the jaws, and it seems he tries to bend the weapon arm towards Trapjaws own head! What a smart idea! Where did we see that happen before?!

He does it, he’s strong enough to slowly bend the gun towards Trapjaws head, keeping his own head out of reach of course. He’s even got the dangerous jaws under control, but then a shot! Not sure if the evil warrior meant to shoot, or if he lost control over his arm. But it’s not the blue body that loses tension, it’s the glossy hero behind him. Trapjaws helmet withstood the bullet, and directed it towards Clamp Champs head. The hero is down, after he first lost his giant weapon, and managed to come up with a plan b. The old rusty Trapjaw wins with a good portion of luck, and a proper helmet.

Drawing Clamp Champs arms from that angle was a fight I lost the second I had the idea to draw it…

Titfortat 9: Ram Man vs Two Bad – Crazy magic!

Ram Man got 29 points in hefarts table of skills, he’s quite smart (8 of 10). With impressive 2.1m and 140kg he’s surprisingly fast. His tribe is famous for their craftsmanship, they are builders, creative and handy combined. Rising, breaking down, repeating. Our famous hero decided to fight for the good, and gave up the construction business long ago.

Two Bad is even bigger (2.3m, 200kg) and pretty strong, but gained only 26 points in total because he’s not the brightest, and really slow (4 out of 10 points). He, or they, are notoriously unhappy, annoyed, angry – negativity in any possible way.

Two heads on one warrior seem useless first. OK, you have two pairs of eyes to keep your back clear. No, even on second thought it’s useless. Especially for the titfortat, with only one opponent in a ring, two heads are useless. It slows him, or them down. The permanent dialog, the many unconnected thoughts must drive both trolls crazy. Or drove them crazy. Nothing else was Merman’s plan, when he merged two trolls. People agreed that it was just an evil joke, maybe a trick to weaken Skeletor. Not to take his trolls down, but to turn them into an annoyance, useless and hindering. Or was more behind all this?

Ram Man is not known as an overthinker. He’s not dumb, he just doesn’t want to take over responsibility. He’s a hammer, a destroyer. The smart guys can figure out what to smash when, and what to do with whatever Ram Man left. In titfortat, there’s no one to tell him what to do, and there’s no wall to break down, no door to open, no evil vehicle to stop. Only a two headed freak, two monsters in one. Another evil creature that wouldn’t even exist, if there wasn’t evil magic. Hordak, Skeletor, Evil Lin, King Hiss. Merman. They all mess with dark magic and create monsters like Two Bad.

Both are not made for a ring fight. Great! So let the ring fight begin.

The smart handyman in his helmet against the slow, crazy giant. Ram Man is not the guy who could tire someone out. He has to come up with a plan to knock the crazy one out without getting into his massive arms. But it’s hard to think when two idiots won’t stop talking, and even worse, giggling and slurping. Two Bad is a smelly, noisy, dangerous creature. He constantly walks towards Ram Man, one head smiling, talking brabberish, while the other head shows no expression at all. Just calls him, ‘Raaam maaan’. Ram Man goes in, but instead of going head first towards Skeletors henchman, he throws himself on the ground, rolling perpendicular in Two Bads feet! What a move, not elegant, but effective. Two Bad stumbles, falls, and tries the reach for the hero on the floor. But it takes him too long to reach down, and while the monster falls forward, Ram Man rolls further way. He has enough time to get up, and for a second gets scared of the noise coming from Two Bad. But the reason for the noise is different now. They are arguing, left and right head get into a fight over the poor response to Ram Man’s attack. This gives our hero the chance for a second strike. He jumps high up and lands a punch on Two Bads chest, right in the center where the trolls are connected. A blue shimmer of light appears, and pushes Ram Man back. That was not the effect he expected to see. The two headed monster did not suffer from that punch. The evil magic that keeps these two together seems to protect them from being separated. Ram Man is out of breath, his fist hurts terribly. Two Bad crawls toward the hero on the floor, he crawls onto him. 200kg are a burden. For both. Two Bad takes the helmet between his massive hands, and starts squeezing. Screaming, growling, coughing, they make all kinds of disgusting sounds, while they crush the helmet first, then the head. Ram Man’s helmet was not made for pressure from the sides. What a terrible end here.

Titfortat 8: Roboto vs. Horde Trooper – Scrap metal for Hordak!?

You ask yourself why these two robots have a titfortat? Here’s why: Roboto probably wanted it. It shouldn’t be possible, but who if not Roboto is able to even manipulate titfortat?! This mechanic guy is a wonder boy, even to his make Man at arms.

Roboto is aware that Horde Troopers are programmed to collect raw materials for their own reproduction. For them, Roboto is nothing but a bunch of metal which they could use to produce more troopers.

Roboto likely calls for this battle to make a statement. He is the boss-robot on Eternia, and he’s not a warehouse!

2.1m, 200kg, 35 points for Roboto; fighting the 2.5m, 170kg and 31 points trooper. Horde Troopers are giant killing machines, but Roboto has the ability to think differently. He’s weirdly intelligent.

Let’s start this robotic titfortat!

The fight begins very quietly. Silent whirring noises and blinking lights make clear, here are two computers calculating well before striking.

And then it all happens like a well studied choreography. The Trooper strikes first, a red laser beam towards Roboto’s head. He bends his knees just enough to not get hit, and then fires back a double-laser beam. This is not a deadly strike, he fires high up to distract Hordak’s robot, moves to the left and cuts the Troopers arm off in a split second!

It becomes clear that the superior heroic Robot does not intend to end this quickly, he seems to enjoy the demolition of his opponent. No chance for the taller horde machine. Cruel 20 minutes later Roboto ends this titfortat by smashing the Troopers head under his foot. What a demonstration of sinister good power!

Titfortat 7: Blast Attak vs. Fisto- Hit me Fisto, one more time!

Man-at-Arms’ brother Fisto is kind of a permanent No 2. A bit younger, a bit less skilled, and and and. To all overflow, he is wearing an iron fist, made by his brother, since he had that stupid accident in the factory. 

But he is strong as three horses, has the iron amboss punch, he is fearless and brave.

Blast Attak one the other side is a mystery who doesn’t belong anywhere. Sometimes fighting for the Snakemen, sometimes with Skeletor, and often enough doing his own thing, whatever that is. What is confirmed: he is a ticking bomb. Scans brought an image of enough explosives to destroy a castle and the village around it too. But what is the trigger? Who has the red button on his desk? No one can, or is willing to answer. And the heroes never got the chance to take him out. Even without the bomb thing, Blast Attak is a proven sniper, fighter and survivor. 

So is this fight his stage to blow up Eternia? Is Fisto the perfect hero to punch the bomb?

Blast Attak vs. Fisto, 30 points, 2.1m, 150kg vs 33 points, 1.8m, 100kg.

Round 1: Fisto is too smart to just hammer-fist-bump this bomb, isn’t he? Ok he is waiting, that’s a good sign. Blast Attak is active, walking around, murmuring, observing. Like a maniac, a scary stranger with a well known secret. 

Then he makes a move. He activated a grid of red laser, covering the whole fighting area. We have never seen that before! Fisto doesn’t move. Is that the trigger? Blast Attak comes closer, no sign of fighting, no attack. The laser grid moves around him as he walks. What the hell? Fisto is overwhelmed, by the little knowledge he has about this guy and by the scenery he creates. Only 2m distance now. Another tool, a stick, no, four, standing straight. He places them in a square around Fisto, who is in a weird cage like set up now. The bomb man starts smiling devilish as a huge iron fist hits his head and knocks him out. No explosion, no further happenings. Still mysterious though. Fisto knocks and wins.

Titfortat 6: Jitsu vs. Whiplash – I like your hands!

Ever wondered why Jitsu has the massive, golden hand?

And why he is not a renowned martial artist as Ninjor is? Why he cannot sneak like Ninjor? Isn’t he reduced to his golden hand now? What happened? Here’s hefarts version.

Years ago, when Jitsu was an independent master of martial arts, and by the way Ninjors master as well, he was an adventurer. Travelling Eternia, seeing it’s wonders and meeting the people and creatures, was living his dream. An accident involving a giant crocodile-monster-man, ended not only his tour, but also his beloved martial arts, and the harmonic live he lived. He was curious, he loved nature, and he’d never seen a swamp before.

It was, one more time, Skeletor to so-called repair a broken man, and take his life in exchange for that.

Chance for Jitsu now to take revenge on Whiplash, the crocodile monster that bite off his hand!

Human fighter, 1.8m, 100kg, 31 points, meets 28 points for 300kg crocodile-human, 2.6m high.

Ding ding ding: Whiplash stays still, waiting for the right moment to attack. All eyes on Jitsu’s golden hand, that destroyedso many lives before. He lost quiete some agility due that heavy hand, but he has unbelievable strength in his arms.

How to attack such a huge monster, able to strike deadly within tens of a second? Look at that! Whiplash is mean! Starring at Jitsu’s other hand starts the action here. Freaking out is the right term here! The crocodile is provoking Jitsu, his eyes say “Let me eat your other hand!”

Swinging his golden hand like an axe, Jitsu lands some solid punches on the monster. But it shows no reaction! Seems to not even feel a thing! Then the counter: An incredible fast whip with his massive tail towards Jitsu, who manages to jump high enough to elude. He is able to get another punch landed on Whiplash’s back, and that has in impact! Now the green beast is in rage, snapping after him, following him… and eventually getting tired! Jitsu must have hit the right spot to get Whiplash in the offense. That was his luck, the green evil did not seem to be bothered by the golden hand.

The rest of the story is that of a master of martial arts using his experience to win this fight against a giant, tired Whiplash. Revenge done.

Titfortat 5: Tung Lashor vs. Modulok – Greetings from the King?!

Hefart’s titfortat goes into the next round! MOTU Snakeman vs. Horde, we thought that is just history. But now this battle?! Hordak couldn’t be banned for long obviously. He definitely pulls some strings.

But this fight very much looks like the snake King himself wants to send a message. Of course to Hordak. The old enemy. 

No way that Tung Lashor, the anaconda, the muscle man of the snake warriors, would seek the battle with Hordaks mysterious red thing. The two headed, or two one-headed, six, five, four or less legged set of living pieces. 

30 points, 2.5m high and 190kg of pure strength vs. 31 points for the living meat bits. What can possibly go wrong? 

Fight! Tung lashor is a squeezer, even his poisonous tung is made to squeeze. 

But how Modulok is gonna fight is so hard to say. Usually you only see him shooting from a hideout. Is he a fighter at all?

The snake immediately runs towards Modulok, grabs him and pouw! the red devil seems to explode! Is that it?

For sure not. His parts, all over the area, start crawling towards the irritated Snakeman. Arms grab, mouths bite and the power snake doesn’t know how to squeeze. Tiny opponents are not his’. He starts stepping on the parts, but this is not how he is used to fight. His legs are now covered, he tumbles! Falls! But then he uses his tung, green, and poisonous. A few seconds of contact and the pieces turn dark and seem to die. He throws, licks, smashes, until finally nothing moves. Modulok is beaten.

Titfortat 4: Clawful vs. Extendar

The hell, why? What, Merman?


What no one knows: Merman has a secret plan! He started training his ocean people to fight on land. But this takes time. He needs warriors to fight with him right now.

Water is thicker than air, they say.

Clawful was one of the first villains who believed Merman could be the new leader of Eternia, able to fight Skeletor, Hordak and King Hiss. Clawful has a natural affinity to the ocean, and there is something magical to Merman. Why would the land creatures always become the leaders?

But what is it with Extendar? Why was Clawful so keen to fight him in the titfortat ring?

Extendar, or who he has been, before he became Extendar, was the spy who spotted Merman training a team of ocean people on land. He realized that something big is rising from the ocean. The saw him, and a fight started. Extendar lost the battle, and his memories. He hardly survived. Man-at-Arms fixed his body, but hardly anything is left from the former spy. No he’s a heavy knight, half human, half robot. Or entirely a robot? He doesn’t know himself.

Clawful can’t risk to let him get back his memories. It would not only be a risk for Merman’s plans, but also threat to Clawful’s life, if Skeletor finds out too early what is going on.

A nervous, lightning-fast 3 meter crab man (28 points) with a clear mission and 190kg of muscles and armor, is fighting the cyborg-knight! Extendar (31 points) is the fifth-heaviest MOTU character on hefarts, and reaches even 30 centimeter higher than Clawful when he’s fully extended. Two gigantic, well armored fighters are meeting here. The question is, can Extendar control the Claw? This battle is about distances, a ringer vs. sword fighter.

Go! Extendar starts in a perfect defense position, knowing Clawful is fast and furious. The red shield in one hand, and a sword in the other hand. His armor should be strong enough to protect him, but for how long? He is not extended, and thus more than 1 meter smaller than the crab. This doesn’t look like the fair fight the numbers promised.

Clawful rapidly moves from one corner of the ring to the other, his size is not slowing him down at all. Extendar’s eyes follow him, the rest of the body is not moving. It would cost him to much energy to follow the crab. Clawful is the first to attack: He comes in a zig zag move towards Extendar. Once near, the huge claw Immediately catches Extendar’s red shield, while the other claw grabs the sword. It is one single movement, happening so fast, that it’s clear, the following seems inevitable. Once clawed, Clawful won’t let go anything, ever. His strength is legendary.

Extendar has no chance to get back his weapons, so he decides to let go. What was he thinking?! What now?

A helpless try to punch Clawful in the face, but Extendar is too slow. How could he be so blind to not see this coming? Why did Man-at-Arms make him so slow? Extendable? He looks like a knight, but in fact they just made him a spy with armor, just enough so that they could send him on missions again.

Sword and shield are thrown out of the ring. It took seconds to disarm the knight. This fight is no fight, it is the second demolition of the former spy. It is a fighting monster vs. a poor experiment of Man-at-Arms.

Clawful attacks again, and this time he’s able to get hold of both of Extendar’s hands. This must be the end already.

His grab becomes tighter and tighter. Extendar panics, sees no other way but to use his extensions to grow larger and get out of the grip. He didn’t even think of keeping the neck short. While he still grows, centimeter by centimeter, we see the proof: the neck extensions can’t withstand THE claw. A grab and a few seconds later, the heads rolls on the floor, the battle is over, and Merman’s secret plan save. So far, no one has a clue why Clawful went in the ring with Extendar.

Titfortat 3: Tri-Klops vs. Grizzlor

History from the cold bloody mountains

This battle is Tri-Klops’ tit for tat. When he was a boy in a village in Eternia’s mountains, his live was just nice. Loving parents, fresh air, enough of everything. His people lived an easy, honest live. He wasn’t evil at all. Maybe he would have been a hero…

The people in the mountains used to tell stories about hairy monsters, maybe to keep the kids from running too far. To teach them to be careful. All myths, or? Hard to believe that there was a place in Eternia that wasn’t infested with horrific creatures.

Tri-Klops was always into technology, what was somewhat strange for his kind. But the mountain people understood the value of his developments. He was well accepted and an innovator, who would make live even more comfortable. One day, after testing a new machine, he came home, and he had to find himself in a blood bath, where his village has been. Everything was destroyed, all killed, all. His family, friends, neighbors. Suddenly the young man from the mountains lived in a nightmare, all alone.

Giant footsteps made clear, there was a single monster in the village. A single creature erased an entire village, and the future of a skilled potential hero. Who was this creature? Grizzlor.

Since Hordac started seeking for the worst creatures of Eternia to strengthen his horde, many horror-myths became reality. Hordac found that hairy monster before Tri-Klops had the chance for revenge. Grizzlor! You need the kind of magic Hordac has, to control this beast. So he did, he made the beast of the mountains one of his evil horde members, without knowing that Tri-Klops has an unfinished business with him.

A two meter human with one laser eye, one super- bright eagle- eye and one ice-beam eye (32 points) gets in the ring with a 3.20m, 310kg, 28 points bear-gorilla monster!

Let’s do it: Tri-Klops looks very focused, seems he has a plan and is so ready to go. No fear, no anxiety, that’s impressive. He looks tiny in front of Grizzlor, but he stands his man.

On the other side, a hairy, growling brown mountain of wilderness. Grizzlor is clearly under the control of a powerful being, if not he would have destroyed the entire arena. No one knows how much of himself is left.

The fight begins. Grizzlor’s first strike hits the floor, and the beast-made earthquake distracts Tri-Klops just long enough to allow Grizzlor moving one step closer to Tri-Klops. The second strike is a continuation of the first two actions, hitting Tri-Klops shoulders from above, what breaks both of Tri-Klops’ legs. The smart, skillful mountain man forgets his meticulous plan, and unfortunately replaces all his thoughts by the memory of stories told about the scary mountain monster.

The last strike in this so-called battle is more like a beginning of Grizzlor’s lunch. Tri-Klops is down, Grizzlor wins. Easy. Ugly.
